There might be a chance that Bigfoot has a sweet tooth, according to one woman.

According to Vicky Cook from Shelby, North Carolina, she saw the big creature in the woods behind her home. Although Bigfoot sightings are nothing new, Cook said that her sighting of the mysterious creature revealed something new about its dietary preferences, according to Fox News. She told WCNC that the sightings started back in March 2019, and since then became a regular occurrence.

Cook told WCNC that she didn’t want her neighbors to go hungry, and therefore left food out—although most of it was candy and fruits. When asked what were the creature’s favorites, she said in the interview that it is peanut brittle.

“Mostly like candy, cookies, they love peanut brittle, chocolate, peanut butter sandwiches,” Cook said. “They don’t like apples and bananas.”

According to Cook, the creature walked right up to her camera and the device recorded everything, although the quality is very poor. Cook knew that she wasn’t going crazy to have seen what she saw.

“Sometimes I think this can’t be real,” Cook said. “It went in front of my camera. I screamed I didn’t know what it was, but that thing was tall!”

In addition to what she captured on the camera, she has other proof in the form of massive footprints. She told WCNC that she had counted a total of eight different-sized prints altogether.

“I think I’ve counted about eight different sized prints,” Cook said. “This is a juvenile, but look at how long it is. That’s a big print.”

WCNC reported that people have been tracking the creature for centuries. John Bruner, a Bigfoot hunter, runs the Bigfoot 911 Facebook group, and he posts sightings on the page. He, too, caught sight of some kind of creature that might potentially be Bigfoot.

“It was huge. It was on two legs. It was bipedal,” Bruner said. “The hair on the head on the body was real stringy and matted-looking.”

FBI Releases Suspected Bigfoot Hair Specimen

In another report about Bigfoot, an alleged Bigfoot hair specimen that was brought to the attention of the FBI was released after some of the bureau’s documents went public. It was a mysterious hair sample that had been delivered to the bureau more than 40 years ago from a sighting in the 70s.

Peter Byrne, a well-known Bigfoot researcher who was head of the Bigfoot Information Center and Exhibition in Oregon, wrote to the director of the FBI in December 1976 after visiting the site of a “credible sighting” of an unidentified walking creature, The Washington Post reported.

News of the sighting had come from two biologists who were both employees of the U.S. Forest Service, working somewhere in the Pacific Northwest.

In his letter, Byrne had urged the bureau for its help with his Bigfoot research.

In the same letter, he also added, “Once and for all, inform us if the FBI has examined hair which might be that of a Bigfoot.”

“Please understand that our research here is serious. That this is a serious question that needs answering,” he wrote, according to The Post.

He never got a reply until the Bureau released the files to the public.

It turns out that the FBI responded to Byrne’s letter twice, but the replies never reached him.

According to The Post, the assistant director of the FBI’s scientific and technical services division, Jay Cochran Jr., wrote back to Byrne on Dec. 15, 1976, saying that while the FBI primarily investigates crimes, “occasionally, on a case-by-case basis, in the interest of research and scientific inquiry, we make exceptions to this general policy. With this understanding, we will examine the hairs and tissue mentioned in your letter.”

The tests were done but the results weren’t entirely encouraging, as they concluded that the hair sample came from the deer family.

“It was concluded as a result of these examinations that the hairs are of deer family origin.”

Byrne, now 93, said that even though the results weren’t what he hoped for, he hasn’t given up on searching for the mysterious creature.
