President Joe Biden declared a state of emergency in Florida on Oct. 7 ahead of Hurricane Milton’s landfall. The emergency declaration directs the Federal Emergency Management Agency to coordinate the disaster relief efforts and to pre-position resources near communities where the hurricane is expected to hit.
Biden also held a ceremony at the White House to commemorate the victims of the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas terrorist attacks on Israeli civilians.
