President-elect Trump hosted a gala Thursday at his Mar-a-Lago estate, held by the America First Policy Institute (AFPI), and attended by his closest allies, and the President of Argentina, Javier Milei.

“Today the winds of freedom are blowing much stronger,” Milei told the gala crowd through a Spanish interpreter, adding that Trump’s reelection is the “greatest political comeback in all of history, defying the political establishment, even at the risk of his own life.”

Milei went on to criticize the teachings of Karl Marx and the “Communist Manifesto,” and praised Elon Musk, who was also in attendance, for battling “propaganda, distortion, and censorship.”

“I would like to thank the great Elon Musk for the wonderful job he has been doing to save humanity,” said Milei. “The forces of heaven are on our side.”

Milei is the first foreign leader to meet with Trump after his successful reelection last week over Vice President Kamala Harris.

Trump will be sworn in on Jan. 20 of next year.

“Nobody in the world could have pulled off what he pulled off, so I’m in awe,” said Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone, who introduced Trump at Thursday’s gala.

Stallone referred to Trump as “the second George Washington.”

The president-elect, when it was his turn to speak, said that President Milei is “a MAGA guy.”

Trump also announced that he will be appointing the governor of North Dakota, Doug Burgum, to serve as secretary of the interior.

News broke earlier in the day about Trump’s appointment of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead the Department of Health and Human Services.

Kennedy, a former lifelong Democrat, and the nephew of the 35th President, John F. Kennedy, has pledged to “Make America Healthy Again” by reforming U.S. food and drug regulations.

“Today I nominated him for, I guess, if you like health and you like people that live a long time, it’s the most important position,” Trump said of Kennedy’s appointment.

Addressing the room, Musk was confident that Trump’s second administration’s policies are popular with the whole of society.

“The public has given us a mandate that could not be more clear. The people have spoken, the people want change,” said Musk.

It was announced earlier in the week that Musk will be the co-commissioner of the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), along with Vivek Ramaswamay.

In a statement released Tuesday, Trump said that DOGE’s mission will be to “slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies.”

DOGE posted a job bulletin on its official X account on Thursday, saying that it will “need super high-IQ small-government revolutionaries willing to work 80+ hours per week on unglamorous cost-cutting.”

Thursday’s AFPI gala was attended by other Trump family members and supporters, including Donald Trump Jr., Kimberly Guilfoyle, Ramaswamay, Kennedy, Kennedy’s wife Cheryl Hines, Tucker Carlson, former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom, Director of National Intelligence appointee Tulsi Gabbard, and Attorney General appointee Matt Gaetz.

AFPI is a non-profit policy research group aligned with Trump’s “America First” agenda. The group’s website states that its mission is “to advance policies that put the American people first.”
