Are Security Agencies Stretched Too Thin? Assassination Attempts and Olympic Attacks Scrutinized

We’re putting security agencies under the microscope. Former President Donald Trump’s head turn at just the right moment saved a tragedy. A providential break perhaps, but clearly, something went terribly wrong inside the Secret Service. The Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attack by Hamas was a catastrophic failure of Israel’s elite intelligence apparatus. And in France, another top-tier security force has proven unable to protect the Olympic Games, with coordinated terror attacks just ahead of the opening ceremony. With threat levels this high, it’s a question we have to ask: are security agencies up to the task?

Our guests Jon Loew, a partner at the Five Eyes intelligence advisory group; Clare Lopez, former CIA agent and current security analyst; and retired Lt. Col. Tim Wilson, distinguished fellow and Second Amendment expert at Project Sentinel, join us to assess the world’s security agencies.
