Texas police, responding to a call at the Cross Cut Apartments in Plano found one person shot to death and three others with non-lethal gunshot wounds.
Police arrived at 7401 Alma Drive, an address in the Cross Creek apartment complex, at around 9:25 a.m. on March 28.
They found the four gunshot victims, and a black Chevrolet Silverado which had crashed into a Toyota sedan.
Witnesses reported that the shooter fled in another vehicle.
NBC Dallas-Fort Worth reported that some of the victims were shot inside an apartment, while some were shot outside.
Police say they do not yet have a motive, but that they do not believe this was a random shooting.
“At least one of the four victims was targeted,” said Plano police spokesman David Tilley told the Dallas Morning News.
Neighbors told ABC-8 that they heard multiple shots and that one of the victims was shot in the face.
“This is very unsettling that this happened right here where we’re staying,” neighbor Wanda McKinney told NBC. “At the same time, you just have to make sure you keep your kids protected because it can happen anywhere.”
