In an interview with “Sunday Morning Futures” host Maria Bartiromo on Fox News, President Donald Trump questioned the involvement of the FBI and the DOJ in investigating allegations of “massive” election fraud.

He said he has “not seen anything” from either the DOJ or the FBI since Election Day about alleged fraud or irregularities, calling it “a terrible thing for our country,” and stating election fraud “is the biggest thing you could be looking at.”

He questioned why the FBI doesn’t appear to be getting involved.

The president went on to say that investigations into former FBI Director James Comey and former FBI Assistant Director Andrew McCabe resulted in little action being taken. He also questioned why U.S. Attorney John Durham’s report hasn’t yet been released.

Durham was appointed by Attorney General William Barr last year to probe the origins of the Russia investigation.

There was speculation that Durham would release the report before the Nov. 3 election but nothing has materialized.

Bartiromo asked the president if he would employ a special counsel to continue the probe into what happened in 2016.

“They spent $48 million dollars, Weissmann and all Trump haters, they spent $48 million. That was the Mueller investigation,” Trump said. “They went through taxes, they went through everything—for $48 million you look at everything, and they found no collusion, no nothing,” he added.

Trump said he would consider a special prosecutor to continue the investigation.

The president said he believes he has done much for the country during his presidency, but he could have done more had he not been under investigation even before he took office.

The most pressing matter for Trump right now is his reelection. It now hangs in the balance while his team scrambles to prove election fraud in a number of contested states.

Trump said, “You need a judge who is willing to hear a case” and “a Supreme Court who is willing to make a really big decision.”

His team is using the dual strategy of filing lawsuits to reach the U.S. Supreme Court and lobbying state legislatures to potentially call up their own GOP electors to the Electoral College.

He said it will take a “brave” judge or legislature to take action to overturn the results of the election.

He told Bartiromo he wouldn’t give a specific date but his team needs “to move very fast.”
