Milwaukee Police released photos of a suspect wanted for the death of Bernell Trammell, a political and religious activist who supported Trump.

Trammell, 60, was shot last Thursday at about 12:30 p.m. in front of his office where he was interviewed a few hours before on his support for Trump, Heavy.com reported.

Trammell’s office was reportedly filled with posters and signs for the Black Lives Matter movement, Democratic state Sen. Lena Taylor’s mayoral campaign, and President Donald Trump’s reelection, according to Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Along with the release of the suspect’s photos taken from surveillance cameras, police provided a description of the shooter.

“The suspect is described as a male in his 30s, 6’00, 200 pounds, last seen wearing a white and red baseball cap, a black mask covering the lower portion of his face, a black and red long sleeve shirt with white writing on the front, white or light-colored pants, black socks, and white shoes,” police said, adding that he was last seen riding a black bicycle.

The incident is still under investigation and the motivation of the shooting is unclear, Milwaukee police said.

Heavy.com reported that Trammell was a political independent who supported candidates of different parties over the years.

“He’s always been kind and polite and caring. He had strong political views and strong philosophical views,” said a local neighbor about Trammell.

Wisconsin GOP spokesman Andrew Hitt said on Friday, “Because of his well-known political activism and the possibility that his murder could be politically motivated, I respectfully request that United States Attorney Matthew Krueger open an investigation into this heinous crime,” WISN-12 reported.

Pastor Kevan Penvose wrote on Facebook that Trammell “was a man with whom I hardly ever agreed about anything he wrote on his signs, but also, as a Rasta street preacher, he was one of the people that make my neighborhood so uniquely wonderful.”

Anyone with information related to the case is encouraged to call Milwaukee Police at 414-935-7360 or Milwaukee Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS where their tip can lead to a cash reward.
