A federal judge overseeing Sidney Powell’s Georgia lawsuit has granted a restraining order on election officials in Cobb, Gwinnett, and Cherokee counties. The order prohibits them from wiping or resetting any Dominion voting machines used in the 2020 election.

It comes after the judge issued an emergency order but then reversed it because the defendants said they didn’t have the machines in their possession.

The change of course drew a response from Lin Wood, a lawyer associated with the Trump campaign.

He wrote on Twitter, “What??? Judge reversed order based on Defendants’ claim that Georgia Counties control voting machines. Why are Georgia officials determined to wipe these machines clean [by] resetting them?”

Plaintiffs initially filed an emergency motion on Sunday. It included an affidavit from a Republican poll worker who said the machines would be reset to zero on Nov. 30 for use in the state’s recount. They said they addressed their concerns about wiping the machines to the election manager.

According to the affidavit, the election supervisor responded with, “It will take a court order to stop this process. … If we get a court order to stop, we will see it in our sos information. The issue is, the Atlanta area has already started.”

When the poll worked asked if the reset will wipe the forensic information from the machines, the manager said that Atlanta already did it.
