China in Focus (Oct. 16): The Middleman Between Hunter Biden and China

A Taiwanese businessman reportedly served as the middleman, helping Joe Biden’s son build business connections with Chinese state-owned companies.

It comes as there are just 18 days left before the U.S. presidential election.

We take a look back on Biden’s and Trump’s stance on key issues regarding China.

A resort in southern China is under lockdown after a staff member tested positive for the CCP virus. And in western China, a video claims a hospital cleared out patients after one of them was found to have a fever.

Snowfall blanketed crops, a rare occurrence for this time of year. Heavy snow has been added to the list of disasters China’s agriculture has endured in 2020.

And Hong Kong’s fight for freedom has spread outside the city. Now, Canada is joining in after Beijing warned the country not to grant political asylum to Hong Kong’s pro-democracy protesters.
