Michael Stumo, chief executive officer of the Coalition for a Prosperous America, spoke with NTD about the roughly 300 sanctions the United States imposed on entities supporting Russia’s war in Ukraine, the effect of U.S. sanctions on China, and his insight into the push from some Midwestern Democrats for the Biden administration to raise former President Donald Trump’s Section 301 tariffs on China, now under review.
Mr. Stumo also reacted to news that Russian authorities this week reportedly raided the homes of Falun Gong practitioners, long-persecuted in China. It was the first time a government outside of China appeared to be targeting the spiritual group.
