Shen Yun Performing Arts took to the stage at the Bridges Auditorium at Pomona College in Claremont, California, from March 8–10. Audience members were mesmerized and left in awe by Shen Yun’s artistry.
“I was really impressed by the dazzling impact that all the colors and the costumes had. It was quite a breathtaking opening, so I loved it,” said Robert Warner, a lawyer at Axiom Global.
Brian Roemmele, the founder and CEO of Multiplex, was amazed by Shen Yun’s 3D backdrop and enjoyed it very much.
“I thought it was really great, the integration from where they leap off into the screen. It was done so well.”
“I love live orchestra, and it’s perfection. You would think it’s a recording because it’s so perfect, but I very much enjoyed it,” said Justin Pelren, who works in law enforcement in Southern California.
Shen Yun aims to revive 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture and values from before communism. The efforts of the performers were highly appreciated and applauded by the theatergoers.
“China in the past was wonderful, it was a wonderful world. But now with all the oppression and control, it really saddens me that people are being treated that way,” said Lorena Richter, the owner of WENO Office Solutions.
“I think it’s such a great mission, and to see it preserved is absolutely beautiful. It could have died. Fortunately people are making it alive, and it was alive tonight, to see it. And just wonderful performers, really dedicated to their craft. I’ve never seen it before, I’m touched by it,” said Mr. Roemmele.
“This really tells a story of how things were back in China, and I think a lot of people need to see this kind of stuff. Because it’s breathtaking, it’s eye-opening and just something I think everybody should see. And I’m going to tell a lot of my friends and family members about this. I thought it was really amazing. The stories they tell, it’s just phenomenal,” said Edward Carrasco, an insurance adjuster at Allstate.
Shen Yun has eight companies touring the globe simultaneously. Every season brings an all-new program, including new dances, music, stories, and backdrops.
“I think it’s very, very hard work. I feel you guys are really doing amazing and I’m so proud of you guys,” said Tracy McNulty, a filmmaker and producer.
“It teaches a good lesson that if you stick to your core values, it’s going to work out in the end. It was very powerful,” said Mr. Pelren.
“What a beautiful job you’ve all done to express divinity and express true moral beliefs,” said Sal Chavez, a family therapist at Kaiser Permanente.
Shen Yun’s world tour will continue through May of this year.
