A massive recall of bike stem raisers is underway due to a fall hazard.
It covers roughly half a million Delta Cycle brand and Dimension brand stem raisers.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the products can cause a bike’s handlebar to shift unexpectedly, posing a fall hazard.
No injures have been reported.
The stem raisers were sold at stores nationwide and online between 1998 and 2024.
Affected model numbers include TD3318B, TD3318S, TD3418B, and TD3418S for the Delta Cycle brand, and SM1977 and SM1979 for the Dimension brand. The stem raisers were sold in black and silver, and measure between five inches and seven inches high.
If you have one of the recalled stem raisers, you should stop using it and contact Delta Cycle for a free repair.
