Former President Donald Trump, at his stop in Waukesha, Wisconsin, said it “was a beautiful thing to watch” when the NYPD stormed the barricaded building at Columbia University and rounded up protesters, whom President Trump called “raging lunatics and Hamas sympathizers.” An analysis piece in The Washington Post outlined how President Joe Biden has mostly remained silent on the protests—although he said some of those at Columbia were in the wrong, and the protests were not peaceful.
